As a brand strategist, Adriaan Wagenaar worked at advertising agencies like FHV/BBDO and PMSvW/Y&R in Amsterdam. In 1994 he founded his consultancy practice Satori. Since that time he is involved in brand strategy, future scenario planning, customer profiling and creative development for ad agencies as well as national and international companies. In 1996 he started to organize philosophy sessions with managers and children for Robeco Group, a prominent independent asset management company. From that moment in time other companies asked him to conduct programs with managers and children. It was the birth of his initiative Raad van Stuur in the Netherlands. Also international companies wanted to participate with children in their own country of origin and therefore he recently relabeled the program as Open Minds Open World.
